Two applications.
One connected platform.

SmartClinity's sensing and connectivity architecture supports two distinct clinical product lines — each addressing a critical gap in fluid management within the hospital environment.

Drainage Monitoring

Continuous, non-invasive drainage intelligence.

Post-operative and abdominal drainage management currently depends on periodic manual assessment. SmartClinity's drainage monitoring system transforms this workflow — providing continuous, objective data on both the quantity and quality of drained fluid.

External clamp — zero modification Attaches to the existing drainage tube without altering flow path, connections, or sterile barriers.
Ultrasonic flow and volume Continuous measurement of instantaneous flow rate and cumulative drained volume throughout the monitoring episode.
Optical quality analysis Continuous fluid quality index tracking the relative load of blood, pus, and other substances — enabling objective assessment of how the fluid evolves over time.
Real-time cloud dashboard Fluid data visualised live on the SmartClinity platform — accessible by the clinical team from any connected device.
Configurable threshold alerts Automated alerts triggered when volume rate, accumulated total, or quality index exceeds defined clinical thresholds.

Real-time fluid quality monitoring

Fluid load index — drainage quality evolution over time

What it shows

As drainage progresses, the fluid quality index descends from an initially high load — reflecting the clearance of blood or exudate — and gradually stabilises, indicating a shift toward a cleaner fluid state.

Monitor

The drug administration product line applies the same embedded sensing platform to controlled delivery of IV fluids and medications. A pinch-valve actuator modulates flow based on continuous ultrasonic measurement — governed by a PID control loop running onboard the ESP32-C3.

Ultrasonic flow measurement Accurate, non-contact flow sensing provides precise volume delivery tracking per minute and per session.
Pinch-valve actuator An electronically controlled pinch mechanism modulates the tube aperture — enabling precise, stepless flow regulation without contact with the fluid.
PID closed-loop control The proportional-integral-derivative algorithm continuously corrects the valve position to maintain accurate delivery against the prescribed rate setpoint.
Remote monitoring Real-time dashboard access to flow rate, cumulative volume, and session status — with alerts on delivery interruption or deviation.

Both products. One platform.
